The Covenant began as a written document to declare the values that must be embedded into human.tech to defend against the existential risk of accelerationism. Today, this document of design principles comes to life as an interactive platform for collective stewardship of human.tech.

Create a profile by signing in with email, socials, phone number, or a wallet. Read the declaration and sign with your profile to join the Covenant. Prove your humanity to unlock the community features of the Covenant. Verified humans can submit and upvote Artifacts for consideration to be curated alongside the principles of the Covenant.
We are launching the Covenant at the edge of the world at Edge City in Patagonia with a curated cohort of 25 builders, artists, activists, and researchers. At Edge City, residents sprint together for 10 days to design and create human-aligned technologies. Their design documents, notes, schematics, essays, voice notes, are Artifacts of the iterative process for differential acceleration put into practice. Artifacts accepted to the Covenant are eligible for up to $10k in HUMN grants to help continue the work in the future.
Covenant Artifacts
Artifacts are the cultural manifestation of the Covenant. Curators select artifacts for curation that meet the standards of the community. A curated work is the highest honor that can be conferred upon a member in the human.tech Covenant. Curated contributors are cultural stewards that advance the manifestation of human-aligned technology for a brighter future.
The Human Layer, A Short Film by Panaviscope
The Human Layer is a short film by acclaimed musician and emerging AI-assisted film maker and curated contributor, Panaviscope. His work was the first artifact to be submitted to the covenant and captures its spirit. In it, he tells the modern story of isolation and exploitation. The protagonist is a reflection of us that taps into her abilities through human-empowering technology to take back control and create a brighter future.
How do you get curated?
Curators assess if the work is original, makes a meaningful contribution to express the culture of human.tech, and involves intentional labor and craftswork. Artifacts must also promote a concept or value more than it promotes itself or the artist. Curators are chosen from the core human.tech community and exhibit keen sensitivity for Covenant Principles put into action.
What kind of Artifacts can you submit?
First get acquainted with the Covenant. Artifacts are direct responses to the futures, contradictions, and challenges presented by the Covenant. Curators welcome all sorts of contributions, such as:
Exploratory research or reflective work that deepens understanding of the Covenant.
A demonstrated application, method, experiment, or creative process that tests an idea inspired by Covenant design principles in practice.
An extended plan that builds on a proof of concept and outlines development, research, or deployment beyond the residency.
